Bay of Islands New Years Firework

On the strike of midnight an spectacular fireworks display can be seen from the skies above Paihia, Russell, Opua, Haruru and Waitangi – the fireworks are on a barge in the centre of the Bay!  A fantastic way to celebrate the start of the New Year – either join one of the many restaurants or bars that have excellent viewing points or grab a picnic and a blanket and enjoy this fireworks spectacular from any of the beaches surrounding the inner Bay – just remember this is a family friendly event – no alcohol to be drink in a public place in Paihia 24/7 all year round.
