To coincide with the Puaki exhibition, July’s school holiday programme is all about the language of marks. Each day take part in a different activity and have fun learning about using language and images for communication.
Monday 16 July – Seals, Marks and Emblems
Come and make your mark. Design a seal or coat of arms that represents who you are.
Tuesday 17 July – The Art of Writing
Make your own quill pen and ink, learn how to use different tools that have all been used for writing.
Wednesday 18 July – Printmaking
Experiment with screen printing and block printing, and have some fun making prints using different techniques.
Thursday 19 July – All about Dye
Learn about dye by experimenting with colour.
Friday 20 July – Word Art
Make words fun through different fonts and styles.
Suitable for ages 12 and under, all children must be accompanied by an adult.
