Every year jazz and blues musicians gather from all over New Zealand and overseas for the annual Bay of Islands Jazz and Blues Festival.
The venues in Paihia and Russell host over 150 hours of quality jazz and blues during the three-day event. There are more than 45 acts featured. Street performances each morning add to the atmosphere of the festival. Find out more about our great line up of performers here and our venues here.
Admission into the venues will be by badge only unless stated.
Buy badges through this website, at all Venues, B.O.I. i-SITE in Paihia 0800 363 463, Wards Music Shop in Whangarei 09 438 9063. Badges cost $60, which gives access to all venues during the weekend and shuttle buses between the venues in Paihia. Programme cost is $2.
Please note that badges are not posted out. Just exchange your order for a metal badge when you arrive at the festival from any of the venues. Just print out the order or show us on your phone. It’s easy!

Children under 15 are free.
People who have ordered weekend ferry passes need to pick them up from the festival registration desk at Scenic Hotel, 58 Seaview Road, Paihia. Please keep this in mind if you are staying in Russell.

Travel between venues is by free shuttle to people wearing the official Bay of Islands Jazz & Blues Festival badge. Ferries support our festival by offering a discount to badge holders.
