Come sailing on Northland’s own iconic tall ship, the R. Tucker Thompson! Help set the sails, ride on the bowsprit, climb the rigging, or simply relax while our crew does the work. Morning cream tea and BBQ lunch included. The ship will stopover in a small cove at lunchtime where passengers can go swimming or beachcombing before lunch. Then, the ship sets sail through the many islands back to Russell.
If you are short of time but still want a special tall ship experience, why not try our late afternoon sailing? Operating on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, this short 2-hour experience offers a gentle sail in the inner bay. Light finger food is included and a cash bar is available.
The ship is rated Qualmark Green Gold and operated by a charitable trust. Profits from day sails are used to develop youth in Northland.
