The Opua Vehicle Ferry is a handy, efficient service that runs from Opua (near Paihia) to Okiato (near Russell). Operated by Northland Ferries, it’s suitable for all vehicles including trucks, buses and campervans.
Okiato is approximately 10 minutes’ drive from Russell, and Opua is approximately 7 minutes from Paihia.
Tickets can be purchased on board. The journey only takes 10 minutes across the harbour – ample time to get out and stretch your legs!
